Patrick serves on the criminal defense, family law, and professional liablity practice groups. Prior to joining, Patrick previously worked as a special assistant attorney general for child support enforcement, as an assistant attorney general in the state and local government division, and in private practice.
Patrick grew up in Dickinson, North Dakota. He graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of North Dakota with a Bachelor of Business Administration. Patrick earned his J.D. from the University of North Dakota School of Law, graduating with distinction. While in law school, he served on the Board of Editors of the North Dakota Law Review as the Technical Editor and was the Treasurer of the Student Trial Lawyers Association.
After Patrick completed his legal education, he worked as an assistant bank examiner for the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation. Patrick then entered private practice. His diverse legal experiences include work as a general practice, family law, criminal defense, professional liability defense, and estate planning. Patrick served as the alternate city judge for the city of Dickinson from 2014-2015 and has been the alternate city judge for the city of Mandan since 2015.
In addition to his work, Patrick is engaged as a community leader serving as the head junior high wrestling coach at St. Mary's, assistant wrestling coach at Mandan High School, and Vice President of the Board for MS Academy Verrettes, a Haitian soccer charity. Outside the office, Patrick is an avid pilot and also teaches piano lessons.
